Christkindlmarket shopping
The virus cancelled Chicago's Christkindlmarket but we found the next best thing - a pop-up shop/warehouse a couple suburbs over called Hermann the German's Sweet Castle. Here's L and Allison outside the shop, set up just like it would have been downtown.
It's all the candy they would have had downtown but none of the people.
Gingerbread hanging from a carousel.
And Santa with a couple of reindeer watching over the popcorn. I bought Andy some spicy mustard and some candies for the kids' stockings. They were selling the candied nuts too. I think I'll have to take Andy there soon.
