I looked out the front door today and saw a squirrel inside the porch. Yes, inside. L and I started screaming and it was running around trying to escape. Eventually it left through the side opening of the screen. We later figured out the squirrels were coming in to gnaw on her cocoa bombs that were cooling inside the front porch.
I think it's safe to blame the squirrel for chewing through our Santa cord. We noticed it was cut the other day and this cord was the replacement. Now we need a replacement for the replacement.
The squirrel also chewed through the extension cord for our new icicle lights. I wrapped the exposed wires with electrical tape and, surprisingly, they still work.
