I always hoped when I had a family that I'd have the house where all the kids' friends gathered, a place where they feel welcome to come and go. Today, the kids were out of school for an early Veterans Day observance and at one point there were nine kids in our house.
E and her friends played games, walked a neighbor's dog, ate lunch and made friendship ankle bracelets; B and his friend played video games; and L and her friends watched a movie and played with Littlest Pet Shop toys. It was a fun, busy day for all of them.
