Poor Jamaican Santa

We knew the cats would be messing with the Christmas tree, so this year we only used unbreakable ornaments. Unfortunately, “unbreakable” doesn’t mean “indestructible.” The other day we found a mysterious round black piece of fabric on the floor by the tree and couldn’t figure out where it came from. When Piper strutted into the dining room with Jamaican Santa dangling from her mouth, it all clicked - she had stolen Santa’s belt! Apparently, she’s under the impression that the Christmas tree is just a deluxe cat toy display.

Since Jamaican Santa is already destroyed, they might as well play with him. I tossed him on the floor and they've been carrying him around, destroying him some more, then returned him to under the tree. Weird cats.
