Darla was reading through her back copies of the Staunton Star-Times the other day and saw this picture of the 50th anniversary of homecoming queens at SHS. They said the anniversary was in 1986. Math is hard for some. It was fall of 1983, our senior year, because we laid out those yearbook pages. It was our idea to print all of those names and get a picture of our queen with the first queen.
So, I typed up a correction, attached this picture from our 1983-84 yearbook (which Darla sent me), signed it by both of us as co-editors of the yearbook, and emailed it to the newspaper. Now we wait and see if it gets printed. I like things to be correct but Darla has a bit more of a vested interest as her mom was the homecoming queen in 1948. She's in the group picture.
