Tower Hill Saturday

Our one "church" activity besides worship for the weekend. An hour of questions and writing answers to be shared, or not, with our small group.
Strange-looking mushrooms near our cabin.
Before lunch Andy and I went to a couple of nearby antique shops. I bought these two glass spoon rests. Thought that one will come in handy when I serve my holiday meatballs.
After lunch we went to a local brewery. This one was in Union Pier called Seedz. We didn't realize going in but it was dog friendly and there were lots of dogs there. At least they were all well-behaved. You wouldn't have known they were there if you didn't see them.
We also went to the garden center in Sawyer and bought tomatoes, mixed-berry jelly and apples. Thought these mini pumpkins and gourds they had might be good to buy next year for our church's anniversary party.
In the afternoon we gathered on a deck for snacks and conversation. We celebrated my friend L's birthday by sharing cupckakes.
I made the cupcakes and little signs and even had sense enough to bring a candle and matches!
Conversation with friends. This gathering is in the cabin where we used to stay with the kids. At the time it was the nicest cabin at camp but they've since improved the cabin and built newer ones to.
After-dinner trivia contest. Our team did not win.
At night we had a roaring campfire.
