Andy and I stayed in town for our anniversary dinner last night. We went to The Little Gem in downtown Oak Park.
We ordered from the date night menu. We chose the Brie Crosini appetizer and Caeser salads.
Andy had the steak...
and I had the chicken.
We had chocolate mousse for dessert. The flowers (real!) on the table were alstroemeria which were the flowers on my wedding dress and in my bouquet. What a coincidence.
It was a nice restsurant. About as romantic as you can get in Oak Park. Our anniversary present? A new heating and air-conditioning system. Our air quit working last Thursday but luckily it hasn't been hot this week. We've been getting estimates and should make a devision soon. One of the companies that came out yesterday temporarily fixed our air. They got some brownie points for that!
