B has been spending a lot of time in his room studying for his third actuarial exam. We recently changed out his room's rear window blinds for darkening shades. Hopefully it will reduce computer glare for him and keep the room cooler by blocking out the afternoon sun. I picked out the color and was pleasantly surprised by how well it matched his closet and ceiling.
We also replaced the window air-conditioner in his room. The one he had wasn't cooling very well and we figured it was at the end of its anticipated lifespan. We think he has had it since middle school. No point wasting electricity if the room isn't getting cool.
