Our summer decor
A red, white and blue tablecloth that August loves ...
a flag-designed jar with fake flowers in it since I don't have white flowers blooming at the moment ...
and red, white and blue lights on the valance in the dining room.
Sensei is still surprised that L is eating. Today she wrote, "She had chicken and green onions on a stick. She ate carrots and onions."

Movie night
Today was Ai's last day at OPRF. This evening she and E are going to the Lake Theater to see a movie, "Jack the Giant Slayer" with a group of other Japanese students and hosts. After dinner (chicken fajitas), L was showing off the Nerf gun her friend, M, gave her after their playdate today. The gun keeps jamming up on him so he decided to toss it in the trash. Instead of that, L asked for it and he gave it to her. After asking Ai if the darts make a noise as they were shot by her head (really), L decided instead to set up a shooting range with three cans in the living room. All three girls thought it was pretty fun. I think Ai even taped the goofing around. Probably to show her family how silly Americans are.

Siblings
This is what happened when L found out they were happy without her:
They also started a third puzzle of the week. Again, 1,000 pieces to tackle.
