I was looking over the draft of E’s wedding invitation the other night and pulled ours out to compare (yes, I still have one, several actaully). She had “invited to the marriage,” and I suggested she change it to “invited to the wedding,” since that fit better with the rest of the wording. Andy agreed. Funny thing is ... ours said “marriage.” So basically, I gave her advice that contradicts what we did. Classic. I guess it doesn’t really matter in the end as people showed up, we got married, there was cake and dancing.
But really, weren’t our invitations pretty? Even if they were questionably phrased.
