Peony perfection
We haven't had many peonies bloom this spring.
Looking through the old newspapers at work is fascinating and every so often I run across something that I recognize. This five-bloom peony, four and a half feet tall, was grown by a previous owner of our house. I guess that's unusual considering she put it in the newspaper with a picture to prove it. This was spring 1940.
At least my irises look good.
A few days ago I didn't know if I'd have any milkweed voluntarily come up this year. Then, all of the sudden, they're plentiful and getting taller every day. I have a way with weeds.
