Auto show

Andy worked from home yesterday until noon then we went downtown for the Auto Show. This is the newest Buick, the Envista. It's close to the size of my Encore but isn't as tall.
Our view from the front seat. We liked it. Might need to go drive it.
We talked a bit to the guys from the Electric Car Club at U of I.
THe highlight of the show, for me anyway, was the Scooby van.
Velma was no where to be seen.
This is a 1948 Tucker. Only 51 were ever made.
These golf-cart like cars were made famous at hotels and appeared in Elvis Presley's "Blue Hawaii." They eventually inspired the Barbie Jeep. Overall, we were a little disappointed in the show. It was only in one showroom, usually it's in two. Several automakers were noticeably absent - Mercedes, Volvo, Mazda, Jeep, Jaguar. At least we got the tickets for free.
