L was busy packing yesterday. We left at 6 this morning driving her car.
Saying good-bye to August.
All packed up. We beat Chicago's rush hour traffic to get out of town, and got through Indiana pretty fast.
We entered Ohio at 10:15 a.m. Eastern time.
Nothing to see here lol.
Except maybe this guy at out McDonald's lunch stop. He was complaining about using a self-ordering kiosk and had to order in-person at the cashier.
We got to Pennsylvania at 2:10 p.m. Eastern time. We thought we had a hotel reservation in State College, Pa., but the reservation was actually at another Holiday Inn Express 30 miles away. At least we got to drive around Penn State.
We think this is, or was, the Phi Sigma Sigma house. The address is what was on their website but there weren't any letters on the house. Hmmm.
We had dinner there at Primanti Brothers. L and I each had personal pizzas ...
Andy ordered a huge sandwich, the Capone. It had capicola, salami, Italian sausage, Provolone cheese, coleslaw and fries ON the sandwich and tomatoes.
This was in front of the Penn State bookstore. Have to love a good college rivalry.
Pretty scenery on the way to the right hotel in Reedsville. Now we go to the pool and tomorrow we finish the drive to Hershey.
