I like to try at least one new Christmas cookie a year so I made Reindeer Noses that I found on a community Facebook Christmas cookie page.
Reindeer Noses
2 c. flour
1 c. plus 1 T. cocoa
3/4 t. baking soda
2 t. coarse salt
1 c. butter
1 1/3 c.sugar
2 egg yolks
2 T. heavy cream
2 T. vanilla
Junior Mints
Preheat oven to 350 F. Sift flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt in a small bowl. In larger bowl, combine butter and sugar until fluffy. Reduce speed and add egg yolks, vanilla and cream. Beat in flour mixture until just combined. Roll into balls and roll in sugar. Press center with a wooden spoon to make an indentation. Bake 10 minutes. Let cool slightly and place a Junior Mint in each indentation. Cook completely on racks. Made about 4 dozen and used almost two theater boxes of Junior Mints.
