B was nice enough to start his graduation day by helping us move L out of her dorm. That was a job! We filled our car and Allison's.
Aunt Allison drove down to celebrate with us and met us in L's dorm parking lot.
In the Kranert Center getting ready to walk across the stage.
They scanned B's code, gave him his diploma cover, called his name and let us take pictures. I thought it was better than a big, long graduation ceremony. He said he wasn't sure whether he would have walked in a large ceremony. (He fell asleep at E's college graduation and that was a short December ceremony of only engineering grads.)
After walking across the stage we were able to get pictures in several scenes set up by the university.
L couldn't resist a picture of her by her college banner.
The kids had mixed feelings about the confetti in the covid spit test tube.
It did make for an interesting picture when L tossed the confetti at him.
One cookie per graduate. Oops.
We celebrated afterward with a late lunch at Billy Barooz Pub and Grill. Very tasty and not crowded.
L came to say good-bye while we were waiting an hour and a half to get a photo in front of the Alma Mater statue. She and Allison headed back while we were in line.
While we were in line, B's freshman roommate happened to walk by. They chatted and hugged. It wasn't till he walked away that B said that was his former roommate. That would have been a nice picture.
Family pic.So proud of our graduate!
We dropped B off at his apartment. He's staying for at least a week to hang out with friends. Andy and I stopped at McDonald's to get Cokes for the ride home and they asked if we wanted a free chocolate shake. Um, yes!
