The peonies are blooming. They're pretty and smell nice but the blooms won't last long.
I'm surprised this is blooming so early. It's the coneflower my teaching partner gave me as an end-of-the-year gift.
We're not sure what this is but the bees love it ...
and so does Schubert. He loves it so much we're blaming him for this mysterious dent:
We've since put a cage around it. He can still eat the leaves but he can't sit on it.
