L got all dressed up this morning to attend her friend J's three-hour (!) birthday party. The party invitation said it was a masquerade party, so we came up with this costume for L. I was a bit surprised when we got to J's house and she wasn't wearing a mask - isn't that the "masque" part of the word masquerade? L had a tank top and shorts on under the dress and when I went to pick her up she had ditched the dress, her shoes, lace sleeve and mask. I still have no idea where the beads are. Those didn't make it home with L, but that's perfectly fine with me.
